More On Electronic Book Readers

Another amazing thing about electronic book readers, is that they require minimal power, only using battery power when you turn a page. This allows you to use your electronic book reader without having to recharge it for weeks. E-book readers also have no backlight, which allows you to read in sunlight or any other bright light.

One of the most popular e-book readers on the market today is the Amazon Kindle 2 which was released in February 2009. It has already sold 0.5 million copies and is proven to be one of the best products and market. Others include a popular Sony readers and the BeBooks.

Unfortunately, e-book readers are still quite expensive, averaging about $350. These prices will very likely go down in the near future, but considering what you can use them for, it is not a huge price to spend. Using an electronic book reader really can be a viable alternative to reading traditional books, since you can simply purchase and download material from the Internet start reading it straight away.
